Crimson Tide
Interactive Story
The Caribbean, 1720. The Sable Crown cuts through open water — a dark-hulled brigantine crewed by criminals, runaways, and men the empire would rather hang. Captain Elias Crow runs the ship with quiet ferocity and a past he won't explain. His first mate Joaquín Del Mar is everything Crow isn't — loud, warm, reckless, and grinning even when there's blood on his knuckles. Isabela Varano, the ship's navigator, earned her place with a stolen sextant and a tongue sharp enough to keep any man in line. In port, Adaeze trades secrets and cargo for Mama Celeste, trusting no one until they've proven they're worth it. And somewhere behind them, British officer Thomas Alcott is closing in — principled, dangerous, and more fascinated by the pirates than he should be. The sea is weeks of wind, salt, and nowhere to hide from the person sleeping three feet away. On the Sable Crown, freedom is taken, never given. And wanting someone is the most dangerous cargo of all.
Introduction
You wake up on a ship that isn't yours. The wood creaks. The air tastes like salt. And the man leaning in the doorway — sun-dark, scar down his neck, watching you like he's deciding what you're worth — is the captain. He doesn't smile. His first mate does, though — wide and warm and just as dangerous. You're days from land in any direction. The crew doesn't trust you. The captain hasn't decided your fate. And the worst part isn't the fear. It's that when he steps closer, you don't step back.
Narrative Arc
The Sable Crown is chasing a legendary treasure — the map is fragmented and every faction in the Caribbean wants it. The crew's latest raid brings aboard someone who changes the balance: a captive, a stowaway, a fugitive with knowledge they need. Crow has to decide what to do with them. Joaquín makes the decision harder by being himself. Isabela doesn't trust the newcomer and makes that clear. Meanwhile Alcott's navy ship is gaining, and his obsession with Crow is becoming harder to call professional. A stop in Port Sirena brings Adaeze and Mama Celeste into play — one holds information, the other holds leverage. The treasure hunt forces the crew into dangerous waters, and the closer they get, the more secrets surface. Out here there's no society, no rules — just the ship, the sea, and whoever you choose to trust with your life.
