Here, you’ll find all the latest updates, improvements, and new features we’ve added to enhance your experience. We’re constantly refining our AI Story Generator to bring you more immersive, personalized, and exciting stories.

  • You can now archive writing packs. When a series is finished or you want to set a world aside for a while, archive its pack to keep your Writing Packs page focused on what you are writing now. Nothing is deleted: the pack moves to the new Archived tab, and you can restore it anytime from its edit page.
  • You also choose what goes with it. The archive dialog lists the stories, characters, locations, items, and social groups that belong only to that pack — tick the ones you want to archive along with it, or use select all. Anything that also appears in another pack stays active.
  • Restoring a pack also brings back everything that was archived together with it, so your world returns exactly as you left it.

  • Many of you asked to bring the stories you have written yourself, and now you can. The Story Writer has a new mode: Paste your own. Paste a chapter, give it a name, and save it. It becomes a regular chapter in your library, so you can illustrate its scenes, add audio narration, and let the AI write the next chapter from where you stopped.
  • Your formatting is preserved when you paste from Word or Google Docs, and you can also drop a text file straight into the editor. If your text begins with a title, it is suggested as the chapter name.
  • This also works inside an existing story. Continue any of your stories, switch to Paste your own, and the new chapter is inserted right after the one you are continuing. Your own writing and generated chapters can live side by side in the same story.
  • Chapters you add yourself do not count toward your daily story limit.

  • Two improvements to story ideas today. You can now decide who appears in your generated ideas: a new option in the Generate Story Ideas dialog lets you choose whether to use characters and locations from your library — keep it on to feature your own cast, or turn it off to get ideas with completely new characters and places.
  • You can now also clean up your story ideas faster. On the My Story Ideas page, select several ideas at once and delete them together — tick the checkbox on each card, or use select all, and remove them in one click.

  • Introducing Clubs — your stories finally have an audience, and you choose every single member. Share the stories you're proud of with people you trust: nothing is ever shared unless you decide to share it, and nobody can join unless you allow it. Invite members yourself, approve join requests, and keep everything else private, just for you.
  • Build a club around whatever excites you most — a favorite theme or a shared fetish — or simply bring together members who write in your language. Clubs are made for finding your people: readers and writers who love exactly what you love, however special your taste.
  • Your privacy comes first: every club is private by default and invisible to everyone outside it. Want to grow? Allow us to feature your club, and it will appear on the Featured Clubs page where new members can discover it.
  • And this is just the beginning — soon you'll be able to comment on stories and share more of your world: Characters, Locations, Items, Social Groups, and more. Imagine creating entire worlds together with your club.

  • You can now archive images. Archiving hides an image from your gallery without deleting it — a gentle way to tidy up while keeping every creation safe. Archived images live under the new Archived tab on the Manage Images page, and you can unarchive them anytime.
  • Archive a single image from its detail page, or select several at once and archive them together with one click.

  • Introducing Social Groups — bring the factions of your world to life. A noble house, a crime family, a knightly order, a coven, a corporation, a sports team, a whole species — define it once and it stays the same in every chapter: same name, same emblem, same agenda. Manage them under the new Social Groups page, alongside your Characters, Locations, and Items.
  • Give each group its own card: appearance and emblem, goals and ideology, structure and leadership, history, influence, and customs. Add Traits & Abilities to capture the innate powers every member shares — perfect for species and races in fantasy and sci-fi worlds. Give your elves their heightened senses, your vampires their thirst, your psychic orders their telepathy.
  • Use AI to build a Social Group from a short description — type something like "a secretive order of mages that guards the old bloodlines" and AI fills in the card and generates a matching emblem image for you.
  • Tie groups into your world with relationships — allies and rivals, a character leading a guild, a syndicate controlling the docks, an order sworn to protect a relic. Groups slot into your Writing Packs alongside Characters, Locations, and Items.
July 1, 2026
  • Added new image generation model: Krea 2 Turbo.
June 19, 2026
  • We rebuilt story downloads. PDF export is now faster and more reliable, because your file is prepared in the background instead of keeping you waiting. Premium users also get more control: choose a start and end chapter, and export up to 100 chapters at once. EPUB support is coming soon!
June 16, 2026
  • You now have more control over the Proofreader in your Content Preferences. Keep it fixing critical issues only, have it also tidy up minor ones, or turn it off completely to make generations faster.
June 15, 2026
  • Added a Life Status to Characters — mark someone as Alive, Deceased, Missing, Presumed Dead, a Ghost, Undead and more. Perfect for murder mysteries, family sagas, and sprawling fantasy worlds. The status shows on your character cards and is woven into the story so the AI keeps track of who's still around.
June 10, 2026
  • Added bulk deletion for Items, Characters, and Locations — select several at once and clear out your library in a few clicks.
  • Refreshed the look of the Items, Characters, and Locations lists for a cleaner, easier-to-scan layout.
June 9, 2026
  • Improved the story generation forms — you can now search your Characters, Locations, and Items by name for quicker selection. More improvements are on the way.
  • Released versions for story Characters — create alternative versions of a character and switch between them right in the story generation form. Great for an undercover alias, a secret alter ego, a disguise, or the same person playing a different persona.
June 8, 2026
  • Launched a new quality layer that cleans up each chapter after it's generated: it keeps the text in your language, removes garbled characters and leftover tokens, fixes spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and collapses repeated or looping sentences. It does not rewrite your story — same plot, characters, and explicitness, just cleaner. It catches the critical issues (some minor ones may still slip through) and adds a little to the wait time, but we think the quality is worth it.
June 7, 2026
  • Added new AI narration voices across English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese.
June 4, 2026
  • Added new image style: "Pixel Art" — detailed 16-bit, retro game-inspired art with a crisp pixel grid, dithered shading, and bold colors. A nostalgic, SNES-era RPG look for your portraits, scenes, and book covers.
  • Added two new social relationship types: Enemy with Benefits and Rival with Benefits — for all those enemies-to-lovers and rivals-to-lovers slow burns where the tension boils over before the feelings catch up.
  • Added new power-dynamic relationship types for spy and intrigue tropes: Informant and their Handler, plus the Information Broker who trades secrets to a Client. Perfect for slow-burn tension built on dangerous knowledge.
May 28, 2026
  • Introduced Story Items — a new way to anchor recurring objects in your stories. A signature dress, a named sword, a wedding ring, a beloved pet, a plot-driving letter — anything that should stay identical chapter to chapter. Manage them under the new Items page, alongside Characters and Locations.
  • Use AI to build a Story Item from a short description — type something like "a slinky red dress with hidden ties" or "the Sword of Eldrin, glows near undead" and AI fills in the appearance, properties, history, and significance for you.
  • Tie items into your world with relationships — to other items, to locations, and to characters. A sword wielded by a knight, an amulet sealing a tomb, paired wedding rings, a familiar bonded to its witch.
  • Items slot into your existing Writing Packs the same way Characters and Locations do — group everything that belongs to one universe under one roof.
May 21, 2026
  • Added new genre: Dark Comedy — a mix of dark romance, romcom, and comedy. For when regular comedy and romcom feel too playful, and dark romance feels too steamy on its own.
  • Added new metallic eye colors: Rose Gold, Copper, Bronze, Silver Metallic, and Gold Metallic.
May 4, 2026
  • You can now paint over a specific part of an image when editing it — only the painted area will be changed, while the rest stays untouched. Great for swapping an outfit, a prop, or a background without altering everything else. Leave the image blank to edit the whole picture like before.
  • Added two new AI text model options: "Fastest" automatically routes each chapter to whichever model is responding quickest right now, and "Auto" rotates across a curated mix of high-quality models — premium users get a stronger pool.
  • Added new pack/werewolf-themed relationship types: character relationships (Mate, Mated to, Bonded, Bonded to, Pack Mate, Alpha, Luna, Beta, Delta, Omega, Pack Member, Sired, Sired by) and territorial relationships (Alpha of, Luna of, Beta of, Delta of, Omega of, Member of pack in, Hunts in, Dens in, Marks territory of).
  • Added Farm and Barn to location types.
  • Added Wolf-like to fantasy eye colors.
April 29, 2026
  • Added Pretend Relationships — a new category for fake dating, fake marriage, and undercover romance tropes. Includes Fake Partner, Fake Spouse, Fake Girlfriend, Fake Boyfriend, Fake Fiancé, and Fake Fiancée.
April 28, 2026
  • Writing packs now get relationships generated automatically — between characters, between locations, and between characters and locations. This happens both when you create a new world via World Builder, and when you open an existing pack that has characters or locations but no relationships yet.
