Preparation steps:
- Before you start your role-playing adventure, watch ‘Basic Instinct’ even if you’ve seen it before. Take note of Catherine and detective Nick Curran’s ways of talking and interacting with each other. This will help your fantasy feel more realistic when you act it out.
- Prepare the room where the action will take place. Make it as dark and sultry as you can to add to the atmosphere.

- Make sure that the clothes you wear can be ripped or damaged - you’re going to live out a really passionate fantasy.

- Don’t worry if your roleplay doesn’t work out the first time or goes in a whole new direction. As long as you have fun, it really does not matter how things progress or end. Let your imaginations run wild and just enjoy being together.
- If your ‘torrent affair’ isn’t as passionate as Nick and Catherine’s, see it as a learning process. Go all out and try your best though. Your kisses should be slow and sensual and you should be exploring each other’s bodies at a snail’s pace.
- You and your partner should really make each other sweat and squirm with anticipation and desire. Doing things slower than normal goes a long way towards achieving this.
- Don’t’ speak too loudly during the ‘interrogation’. Make it necessary for your partner to lean closer to hear what you say. If you’re wearing perfume, they’ll smell it and get even more excited.
- You can try out this roleplaying adventure until you’re satisfied you did it ‘right’ - the perfect excuse to do it more than once.
