AI

Plugins are a flexible way to guide how the AI generates content across stories, images, and continuation suggestions. They give you control over tone, structure, worldbuilding, and creative rulesโ€”allowing for deeper consistency and more tailored results.

You can assign Plugins globally to your account or apply them to specific Writing Packs. Multiple Plugins can be active at once, as long as they don't contradict each other.

What Can Plugins Do?

ย

1. Customize Storytelling Style

Control the overall feel and rhythm of your stories. You can guide the AI toward your preferred pacing, tone, narrative structure, or stylistic elements.

Examples:

  • Write in a literary, introspective style. Emphasize internal thoughts and detailed observations over action.
  • Use short, punchy sentences and rapid dialogue exchanges to keep the pacing tight and suspense high.
  • Maintain a dark, atmospheric tone throughout. Use vivid, moody descriptions and limit humor to dry wit.
  • Develop slow-burn romantic tension. Characters should take time to reveal emotions, with long internal monologues and restrained dialogue.

ย

2. Set Boundaries and Preferences

Use Plugins to tell the AI what to avoid or highlight in both content and tone. This ensures the results stay aligned with your creative intent.

Examples:

  • Characters should never lie unless clearly motivated by fear, guilt, or a desire to protect someone.
  • Do not include references to modern technology. The setting should feel timeless or pre-industrial.
  • Avoid comedic relief. Keep the story grounded in realism and emotional weight.

ย

3. Define Your Fantasy Worlds

Plugins can store worldbuilding rules so you don't have to repeat them every time. Define species, social structures, magic systems, geography, or historical context.

Examples:

  • Magic is only accessible through bloodlines. Spells must be chanted in Old Sylvan. Technology is stuck at 18th-century levels.
  • The world has three moons and frequent solar storms that disrupt communication. These storms also affect mood and behavior in sensitive characters.
  • There are five known sapient species. Elari communicate via scent and are physically unable to lie. Politics revolve around scent-coded agreements.
  • The religious structure is central. Most characters follow the Way of Silence, which forbids speaking before sunrise.

ย

4. Guide Image Generation

Control what the AI emphasizes when creating image prompts, from detailed character appearances to thematic backdrops.

Examples:

  • Characters should appear slightly etherealโ€”glowing eyes, flowing garments, set against soft golden light.
  • Castles should look monumental and ancient, with steep towers and floating platforms, similar to high fantasy concept art.
  • Use deep color palettes for night scenesโ€”moonlight, glowing moss, and enchanted rivers.
  • Outfits should match a baroque, high-society aesthetic with rich embroidery, structured silhouettes, and symbolic jewelry.

ย

5. Get Smarter Continuations

At the end of each chapter, Plugins can help the AI suggest what happens next in a way that fits your tone and pacing.

Examples:

  • Prioritize emotional turning points. Avoid sudden plot twists unless they've been foreshadowed.
  • Continue building romantic tension without resolving it too early. Avoid introducing new characters mid-arc.
  • Favor introspective or reflective moments before returning to action.
  • Next chapter should start in a new location and explore the fallout of recent decisions.

ย

6. Stay Consistent Across Stories

Apply Plugins across multiple stories or entire Writing Packs to keep characters, voice, or settings consistentโ€”ideal for long-form projects or shared universes.

Examples:

  • A Plugin defining your protagonist's speech style, ethics, and behavioral patterns.
  • Shared rules for recurring locations, like a haunted inn or a floating city.
  • A Plugin containing the internal logic for a multiverse structure used across several stories.

ย

7. Control What the AI Remembers (Memory Plugins)

Memory Plugins let you shape how the AI builds context between chapters. Instead of hoping it remembers the right details, you tell it what categories of information to prioritize and carry forward.

This is especially useful for long-running stories where continuity matters โ€” tracking what characters are wearing, where they are, what they know, or how their relationships have shifted over time.

How Memory Plugins differ from other Plugin types:

  • Once installed (globally or on a Writing Pack), they're active automatically โ€” no need to enable them separately like with Story Generator plugins.
  • They guide the AI that builds summaries and context between chapters, not just the chapter text itself.

Examples:

  • Always describe in detail what characters are wearing.
  • Track where each scene takes place and where characters are positioned at the end of every chapter.
  • Remember and reference inside jokes or recurring phrases between characters.
  • Keep track of emotional shifts and relationship milestones.
  • Note any injuries, physical changes, or new appearances and carry them forward.
  • Track dates, times of day, weather, and seasons across chapters.
  • Note who said what to whom โ€” useful for secrets, lies, or hidden information.

Good to know: Memory Plugins guide the AI's priorities, but they're not a database. The AI will do its best to follow your instructions, and in most cases it works well โ€” but in very long or complex stories, some details may still slip. If a specific detail is critical, reinforcing it in a regular Plugin too can help.

Getting started: Start with one or two simple instructions and see how they affect your next few chapters. You can always refine or add more as you go.

ย

How to Create a Plugin

  1. Go to the Plugins section in your dashboard.
  2. Click "Create Plugin."
  3. Enter a name and write your instructions using plain language.
  4. Choose where it should apply:
    • Story Generator
    • Image Generator
    • Continuation Ideas
    • Memory
  5. Save and apply it either globally or to a specific Writing Pack.

Tips for Best Results

  • Write in imperative form. Tell the AI what to do: "Track injuries across chapters" works better than "It would be nice if injuries were remembered."
  • Use specific, actionable instructions rather than vague ideas.
  • Group related rules into one Plugin (e.g. worldbuilding, tone, dialogue style).
  • Test different Plugin combinations and review results to see what improves consistency.
  • Keep Plugins focused. If you're trying to accomplish two very different goals, it's better to split them into separate Plugins.
