Whimsical Balloon Adventure

Preparation steps:
- Dress comfortably but make sure to take into account the cooler temperature in early mornings. As ballooning is weather dependent, confirm with the operator a day before the ride. A hat is recommended as the burner used to inflate the balloon can give off quite a bit of heat.
- While hot air ballooning is a safe activity, people with vertigo or those who are pregnant should review this activity with their health care provider. Also, the balloon basket usually comes up to chest level, so thereโs no chance of anybody falling out.
- Carry a camera, fully charged and with plenty of storage, because youโre going to see some truly beautiful sights that youโll want to capture.
Some tips:
- Arrive at the venue early for a safety demonstration and briefing. Most balloon rides start early in the morning when winds are calmest, so expect an early start to your day.
- Tipping the balloon crew is not expected, but always appreciated if you loved your flying experience.
- There's no restroom facilities in a hot air balloon. Make sure you use the restroom before you set off on your trip.
