Toxic Touch
A client walks into a salon, unaware they've come into contact with a dangerous chemical. As a hairstylist, you must act fast to contain the chemical, keep the client calm, and find a way to neutralize it before it's too late.
- You are a hairstylist, working a busy Friday in May at your salon. Your next client, a seemingly normal person, walks in for a routine haircut. As you begin to work on their hair, you notice them acting strange, complaining of a burning sensation on their skin. You soon realize that they've come into contact with a dangerous chemical, and it's spreading fast.
- You try to remain calm, but panic starts to set in as you realize the gravity of the situation. You call for emergency services, but you know you need to act fast to minimize the damage. You start to rush through the salon, grabbing anything you can to try and contain the chemical.
- The client begins to panic, becoming more and more agitated by the minute. They start to thrash about, making it difficult for you to get close to them. You know you need to keep them calm, but it's getting harder by the second.
- As the minutes tick by, the situation becomes more and more dire. You're desperately trying to find a way to neutralize the chemical, but everything you try seems to fail. The client's skin is starting to blister and burn, and you know you're running out of time.
- You're trapped in this dangerous situation, and the only way out is to work together with your partner to find a solution. Will you be able to save the client, and yourselves, from this toxic nightmare?
Preparation steps:
- To set the scene, create a salon-like atmosphere in your home. Use a chair or a couch as the client's seat, and decorate the area with hairdressing tools and products.
- Dress the part - wear a hairstylist's uniform, complete with a cape and gloves. This will help you get into character and add to the realism of the scenario.
- Purchase some fake skin or burn makeup to create realistic blisters and burns on the client's skin. This will add an extra level of realism to the scenario.

Some tips:
- To make this scenario more realistic, try to stay in character as much as possible. Avoid breaking the fourth wall or acknowledging that it's just a roleplay.
- Use your surroundings to your advantage. Look for items in the 'salon' that you can use to try and neutralize the chemical, such as baking soda or vinegar.
- Don't be afraid to get creative and improvise. This scenario is all about thinking on your feet and coming up with a solution to a desperate situation.
Dialogue ideas:
- We need to get them out of here, NOW, we can't let this spread any further
- I feel your hands shaking, mine are too, but we have to do this, for us, for them, we can't give up
- I know it's burning, I can smell it, but we can't let it consume us, stay with me
- Get behind me, I need you to hold them still while I try to rinse this off
- Oh god, baby, I'm so scared, we have to do something now or it's going to be too late
