A Day of Surprises in Braunschweig
This idea is all about surprise, discovery, and spending a long time exploring the beautiful city of Braunschweig. Avoiding restaurants and cafes, the focus is more on immersing in the city's history, natura, and culture.
- We start our day by visiting the historic Castle Square and exploring the Brunswick Cathedral, followed by a relaxing stroll in the nearby park.
- From there, we take a visit to the famous Happy Rizzi House - quite a unique structure, guaranteed to surprise. Maybe a quick picnic here with snacks prepared beforehand?
- We end the day by watching the sunset over the city from the top of the St. Andreas church tower. It's a climb, but worth the view.
Preparation steps:
- To start with, research the spot that we are going to visit. Note down their operating hours. Also, the climb to St. Andreas Church Tower requires booking a tour, better book it in advance.
- Packing a picnic would be a good idea to have food on the go. Include your favourite sandwiches, fruits, snacks, and bottled water. Don't forget to pack a picnic blanket.
- Dressing appropriately for the weather and wearing comfortable shoes is suggested because we'll be doing a lot of walking.
Some tips:
- Always have a map handy in case one gets lost.
- Some places might not allow food inside, so having a picnic outside such venues would be more appropriate. Also, cleaning up after ourselves is a must to keep the city clean.
- Taking pictures when visiting these places would be a good idea for keepsakes and great memories. But remember, the main goal is to enjoy the city and each other's company rather than focusing solely on getting good pictures.
